JUDE VACLAVIK

I am drawn to kinetic, gestural, dynamic, immediate music, and my compositions dwell at the intersection of these qualities.

My music has been commissioned by the New York Philharmonic, Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, New York Youth Symphony, New York City Ballet’s Choreographic Institute, New Juilliard Ensemble, and numerous others. These works have been performed in major venues across the United States including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. My compositions have been recognized by the American Academy of Arts and Letters, ASCAP, and The Juilliard School.

I hold degrees from The Juilliard School including a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Composition. It was an honor to have studied with Christopher Rouse and John Corigliano who are among my greatest influences.

I live with my family in Austin, Texas.
